Student Ministries Intern (junior & senior high school)
at Community Church of Joy
RESPONSIBILITIES
DAILY
? Devotion (in personal time)
? Duties will be assigned based on competency, capacity, and gifting.
? Debrief with Director of Student Ministries.
WEEKLY
? Attend and be prepared at all weekly team meetings.
? Assist Student Ministries team with evangelism event and mission trip planning and execution.
? Assist Ryan with supervision and support of student leaders.
? Additional program duties to be assigned based on competency, capacity, and gifting.
MONTHY
? Prepare a monthly 15-20 minute talk for the Vox and Amplified (not to start until you and Director of Student Ministries feel that you are ready).
? Self evaluation and progress report
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

? Investment by Director of Student Ministries
? Involvement on Student Ministries Team
? Prayer for you by the Student Ministries Team
WEEKLY
? One-on ones with the Director of Student Ministries to include spiritual and emotional support and leadership and growth opportunities
MONTHLY
? Evaluation and feedback
BENEFITS

As you are challenged in ministry and discipleship ? either in teaching, counseling, or being faced with tough questions ? it will force you to search the scriptures and spend time with the Lord. This will cause you to grow in Grace and maturity in the Lord. You will also be loved, cared for, encouraged and held accountable by the rest of the team.
2. Know that you are involved in an important ministry. ?Eighty percent of all adults who have accepted Christ as their Savior made their decision to do so before the age of 12.? The teenage years are a key time to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is at this time they are solidifying their values and attitudes.
3. You are richly blessed. The scriptures tell us that ?it is more blessed to give than to receive.? As you give of yourself and see change in others, you find yourself being richly blessed by God. There are few things more exciting than seeing a young life being transformed by Jesus working through you!
Commitment:
1 year
20 hours a week
This is a paid internship. Any college age student (freshman through graduate student) are encouraged to apply. However, you do not have to be in college to apply.
We are looking for someone who has a heart that loves Jesus Christ and loves to work with students.
