| Job Description |
As a church of approximately 100 members and with both active Youth and Children’s programs, we are looking for someone who can help lead and grow the Youth and Children’s ministries.
The work would include:
The development and running of regular Junior and Senior Youth programs – including the leading of Youth Sunday School; and the recruitment, training, and support of youth Interns and volunteers.
The development and running of regular specialized children’s programs, namely a monthly Kids’ Club and annual Vacation Bible School [but not including the Children’s Sunday School program]. Responsibilities would include all aspects of the delivery of the Kids’ Club and VBS programs, including: advertising and outreach to children in the neighbourhood; and the recruitment, training, and support of program volunteers.
All programs are designed to serve both the needs of youth and children currently attending the church and as an outreach program to youth and children in the local community.
The position is a half-time position.
Starting date [ideally September 1, 2012], compensation [could include the use of the parsonage which is adjacent to the facilities] and work hours to be negotiated.
