1. What are the features of the YS Job Bank?
- Edit your own job or resume posts
- Add formatting to posts including: pictures (150k size limit), bold, italic,
and underline
- Activate your post so it's viewable now, or deactivate it so it's
hidden
- Ability to see how many views your post has received and reset it
to 0 if necessary
- Search by:
- keyword
- date (last 7 or 30 days or since last visit)
- criteria (job title, denomination, state, country, region)
- sort and refine search results
- save search results
- YS job openings (if applicable)
- Bookmark job/resume posts and save them to your profile/account.
- Use an e-mail form to contact prospective churches and job seekers
- Control Panel, quick links to your...
- own postings (job or resumé)
- saved searches
- saved openings/resumés
- new posts since your last visit

2. Does YS accept all job/resumé posts?
Due to the nature of our ministry, the postings on the YS Job Bank are
for youth ministry (middle school and high school). Although, we have
added the ability to post Children's ministry positions as well. YS
accepts posts for Children's/Youth/College.

3. Does YS check the validity of churches posting positions as well
as people posting resumés?
Youth Specialties does not take responsibility for any of the postings
or any accuracy of the postings on the Job Bank. We are simply a medium
for folks to find and connect with each other. Use your own intelligence
and the leadings of the Holy Spirit when dealing with the postings here.

4. How much does it cost?
The use of the Job Bank is currently FREE.

5. How long does my job/resumé stay online?
- For job posts - the job will display on the YS Job Bank for
90 days (unless you delete it) from the day it was submitted or from
the day it was updated. You need to renew/update it (by previewing
it and saving it) within the 90 days in order for it to continue
to display. If you want a job post to be removed entirely, you will
need to login and delete it from your profile/account.
- For resumes - the resume will display on the YS Job Bank for
90 days (unless you delete it) from the day it was submitted or from
the day it was updated. You need to renew/update it (by previewing
it and saving it) within the 90 days in order for it to continue
to display. If you do not renew it, your resume will be dormant for
a maximum of 6 months. If you do not renew it during that period, it
will be deleted from the Job Bank. You can also delete it yourself from your profile/account.

6. Can I submit more than 1 job/resumé?
Organizations posting job openings can post multiple positions (no duplicates
of the same post) under 1 profile/account. Resumés are limited
to 1 posting per person.

7. Will YS edit or correct my job/resumé?
YS does not correct misspellings or errors in posts and we are not responsible
for the accuracy or legitimacy of postings. If your post needs changes,
you can login under the profile/account email address and edit it.

8. How do I...
- Sign up?
Churches with job openings, as well as job seekers need to first create
a profile/account to use the Job Bank. You create a profile/account
by clicking the Create a NEW account link
on the Job Bank homepage.
The email address used to create the profile/account will be the contact
email for all correspondence with the Job Bank—keep this information
handy as you will need it. After the profile/account is created
you can add either a job post or a resume to your account. Click on "Post a job" or "Post resume" from the YS Job Bank homepage. Information on the profile/account can be different than what's listed
on your job/resume posts.
- Log in?
You can log in by clicking the Log in link
in the Control Panel. If you have not created a profile/account, you
will need to by clicking the Create a NEW account link
on the Job Bank homepage.
- Get my password?
The email address used to create the profile/account is the log in
email address for the profile/account. If you have forgotten your
password, go to the forgot password
page and enter the profile/account email address and click "Submit".
Instructions will be sent to the email address regarding the password.
- Edit my profile/account?
Changes to the profile/account are done by the person who created it.
After logging in, the profile owner clicks "My Profile" from
the Job Bank Control Panel. After you have made your edits, click "Update".
- Edit my job/resumé?
Changes to posts are done by the person who created the profile/account.
After logging in, the profile owner clicks "Update a job" or "Update
resumé" from the Job Bank homepage, or "My Jobs" "My Resume" from
the Job Bank Control Panel. Once you have accessed the post, you
can make changes, delete, or deactivate/activate it.
- Delete my job/resumé?
Deletions of posts are done by the person who created the profile/account.
After logging in, the profile owner clicks "Update a job" or "Update
resumé" from the Job Bank homepage, or "My Jobs" "My Resume" from
the Job Bank Control Panel. Once you have accessed the post, you
can make changes, delete, or deactivate/activate it.
- Renew/update my job/resumé?
Renewing the post is done by the person who created the profile/account.
After logging in, the profile owner clicks "Update a job" or "Update
resumé" from the Job Bank homepage, or "My Jobs" "My Resume" from
the Job Bank Control Panel. Once you have accessed the post, click "Preview" and
then "Save".
- Turn off/on my job/resumé?
You can turn off/on (deactivate/activate) a posting. It will stay under
your account information. Follow the same instructions on how to
login and edit your post above. Note - if the status (active/inactive)
of your post does not seem to be updating after you've saved it,
try refreshing your browser.
