Adolescent Development: The Latest Research that Matters to Youth Workers
Adolescent-centered research, often prominently featured in youth ministry discussions, can frequently be misrepresented, misused, or misunderstood. How can youth workers accurately interpret and use relevant research to better understand and reach their youth? This seminar will help youth workers learn to engage and use research that is relevant to their ministries. After 16 years in full-time youth ministry, Terry has taught youth ministry courses at Bethel College (Indiana) for the past 11 years, where he also serves as Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy. He got his start in Youth for Christ, where he developed his teaching as one of the national trainers, and then served for many years as a church youth pastor. Terry has authored six books, including Global Youth Ministry and the popular Talksheets: Life of Christ curriculum series.
