I love that Linhart gives credit to Middle School students' intellect by not writing to them as if they were 5 year olds. He gets where they're at in life, and he writes curriculum based around their understanding of the world. Information is concise, age appropriate, and far from stale. If you're looking for extra fluff [too many questions, unrealistic object lessons, games that try too hard to relate to the lesson], then this isn't the book for you. But if you want a Biblically based, age appropriate discussion starter that makes students think and relate to the life of Christ, you've found your book. [Sidenote: the middle school and high school books use the same scripture but have different lessons, so you can have all your kids learning about the life of Christ at their level. An awesome way to get siblings talking to each other about something that really matters.]
